A tragic incident unfolded near Nagarikunnu in Nedumangad, where a 37-year-old man named Pranav was found deceased in a well on October 18, 2026. The body was discovered on property near Vrindavan Lane around 8 PM.
According to preliminary police reports, Pranav had been consuming alcohol with a friend, Abhijith, shortly before the incident. Abhijith alerted emergency services after Pranav allegedly fell into the well. Fire and rescue personnel successfully recovered the body.
Following a postmortem examination, a doctor confirmed that drowning was the cause of Pranav's death. Nedumangad Police have registered a case of unnatural death and commenced an investigation. However, initial inquiries have not indicated any suspicious circumstances surrounding the event. The body has been released to Pranav's relatives.
