Kozhikode Man's Mysterious Disappearance Ends in Tragic River Discovery

A 43-year-old man, identified as Ranjith from Valayam, was found deceased in the Vishnumangalam river near Nadapuram, Kozhikode. Ranjith had left his home early on Monday morning, reportedly telling his wife he was going out to play. When he failed to return, his family alerted the authorities. Locals discovered his scooter parked near the Vishnumangalam bund around 5:30 AM, with his umbrella and slippers found on the vehicle, sparking concern that he had entered the river. A coordinated search and rescue operation commenced at 8:30 AM, involving the Nadapuram fire and rescue services, police, and concerned residents. The operation concluded with the recovery of Ranjith's body from the river. This discovery brings a tragic end to his disappearance. Notably, reports indicate that Ranjith's relative, Roshil, had also tragically drowned in the same river approximately one year prior to this incident.
