A tense situation unfolded at Vikhroli station on November 6 when a 23-year-old man, identified as Mukesh Panchal, entered the railway tracks. He threatened to stop an approaching local train, creating a dangerous scene. Fortunately, another individual, Hrishikesh Vasant Potekar, intervened and pulled Panchal to safety just as the train neared.
The incident occurred after an altercation between the two men in a washroom on platform 2/3. Railway Protection Force personnel, alerted to the situation, along with passengers and housekeeping staff, assisted in bringing Panchal to safety. It was reported that Panchal had a history of similar threats, having previously endangered himself and others by entering the tracks.
