Hoyt was thrown a significant distance by the impact, and tragically succumbed to his injuries weeks later, as confirmed by the State Medical Examiner's Office. The accident also claimed the life of Alejandro Martinez, 53, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and injured Angel Ferrer-Delgado, 21, of Brandon, Florida.
