M62 Crash: Driver Seriously Injured After Collision

A driver has been hospitalized with a severe head injury following a two-vehicle collision on the M62. The incident unfolded on Friday evening, January 10th, 2026, at approximately 21:45 GMT, on the M62 westbound carriageway between junctions 35 and 34.
Reports indicate that a blue Vauxhall Corsa first impacted the central reservation. Subsequently, a black Volvo collided with the stationary Corsa. The driver of the Corsa suffered a serious head injury and is receiving treatment in the hospital.
The occupants of the Volvo, a 36-year-old male driver and a 39-year-old female passenger, were also transported to the hospital, though their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Humberside Police closed the motorway for several hours and are actively seeking any witnesses or individuals with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to assist their investigation.
