A fatal two-vehicle collision claimed the life of a man on the M5 motorway in Somerset on Tuesday afternoon. The incident happened around 1:10 PM between junction 25 (Taunton) and junction 24 (Bridgwater South).
Traffic had been slowed due to a "rolling road block" implemented to remove debris from the northbound carriageway. Tragically, the fatal collision took place at the rear of this queue.
Avon and Somerset Police confirmed the man's family has been informed and is receiving support. Officers are appealing for witnesses and drivers with dashcam footage to assist their investigation into the serious collision.
