Lucknow Students Produce Powerful Film on Flood Resilience

In October 2025, a team of students from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Lucknow University is producing a short film for the National Disaster Management Authority's (NDMA) competition on 'Disaster Risk Reduction'. The 4-minute 32-second film, titled 'Floods: Rage and Resolve', explores the themes of human resilience and recovery in the aftermath of devastating floods.
The project is being developed by Cinematic Minds, a student group passionate about filmmaking, cinematography, and visual storytelling with a social message. Guided by assistant professor Neelu Sharma, the team comprises director Abhishek Gupta, content writer Dhruv Pandey, video editor Gunjon Rokho, and visual & footage director Vinay Pratap Singh.
"Through the film, we want to highlight how people rise to the occasion during crisis with courage and hope," said Vinay. "Our visuals capture not just the floods' fury but also human determination to rebuild lives."
