A fatal accident occurred near Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on Monday night, resulting in the death of Ganesh Lotankar, a 46-year-old logistics company employee. Lotankar had been employed at Gordon Woodroof Logistics Limited at the Air Cargo Complex for two decades.
Eyewitnesses reported that a red Eicher truck collided with Lotankar, tragically crushing his waist. The incident took place while he was in the Pharma Zone of the Sahar Air Cargo Complex, attending to pending documents for his company's pharma cargo. He was taken to Cooper Hospital, where he was declared dead upon arrival.
Sahar police have registered a case against the unidentified truck driver under Section 106 of the BNS for causing death due to negligence and rash driving. Authorities confirmed they are in the process of apprehending the driver.
