The incident, described by Natural Resources Wales as a natural occurrence unrelated to mining, resulted in a hole approximately six meters in diameter and caused run-off stretching 90 meters down the hill. Club treasurer Jeff Wilkins expressed dismay, noting the closure impacts the club's busiest time of year.
Local resident Nathan Hooper also experienced stressful flooding in his recently renovated home. The situation highlights the disruptive impact of extreme weather, particularly during the festive season, with clean-up operations ongoing and damage assessment continuing.
