18 Apr
Summary
- Over 141,000 Kia Carnival vehicles are recalled.
- A fuel pipe fault poses a risk of fuel leaks.
- Dealers will fix the issue for free starting June 2.

Kia America Inc. is initiating a recall impacting over 141,000 vehicles, specifically the 2022-2026 Kia Carnival models. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced the recall due to a defect in the fuel pipe. This fault carries a risk of fuel leakage at the connection point to the fuel rail, thereby elevating the possibility of a vehicle fire.
Owners of the affected Kia Carnival vehicles are slated to receive notification letters on June 2. The recall procedure, which will be performed by dealerships, involves tightening or replacing the fuel pipe as needed. Importantly, this service will be provided to owners free of charge. Vehicle owners can also check the NHTSA's database using their VIN to identify any open recalls on their cars.
