The two young sisters were playing near their residence when the younger one, Kirti, fell into a nearby drain filled with muddy water. Her elder sister, Abha, bravely tried to pull her sibling to safety but became trapped in the mud herself.
Villagers quickly responded to the distress and managed to rescue both children. However, Abha had tragically passed away by the time she was pulled from the drain. Kirti was found in a serious condition and was immediately taken to the Kasrawad government hospital.
Medical personnel confirmed Abha's death upon arrival, noting Kirti had water in her lungs. Kirti received initial treatment and was then referred to the district hospital, where her condition was reported as stable. Police have registered a case of unnatural death and are conducting further investigations.
