Tragedy struck near Jaisalmer on Thursday evening as an SUV carrying nine family members veered off the Balotra highway and overturned. The family was returning from a pilgrimage to the Jasol Mata temple when the vehicle lost control near Mawdi village. The devastating accident resulted in the death of an 18-year-old woman and left seven others with injuries.

Emergency services, including the 108 ambulance, were promptly alerted by villagers. Those injured were rushed to the government Nahta Hospital in Balotra. Sadly, during treatment, an 18-year-old named Neetu was declared dead. Several others sustained serious injuries, with three individuals requiring critical care.
