Monsoon fears grip Indore: 8 houses demolished!

Indore Municipal Corporation has intensified its efforts against dilapidated structures, demolishing eight houses along Jeevan Rekha Marg on Saturday. These vulnerable buildings were situated on unstable soil mounds, creating a significant risk of collapse during the upcoming monsoon season.
Under the direction of Municipal Commissioner Kshitij Singhal, teams utilized heavy machinery and excavators, supported by police presence, to bring down the structures. One dangerous building in South Tora was demolished, while another house further into the area was safely vacated. Building Officer Satyendra Singh Rajput stated that a comprehensive city-wide survey is in progress to identify all structures susceptible to collapse during the monsoon. The demolition drive is crucial for public safety and to enable planned road development projects. Actions against dangerous buildings are set to continue throughout Indore.
