Two individuals lost their lives in a devastating accident that occurred early Wednesday morning at Durganagar crossroads in Mailardevpally, Hyderabad. A car, allegedly traveling at high speed, lost control and mounted a footpath before crashing into a tent where the victims were sleeping.
The deceased have been identified as Deepaknath, aged 20, and his father Prabhunath, 50, who hailed from Madhya Pradesh. Prabhunath's other son, Sathunath, sustained injuries and is currently undergoing medical treatment. The family had established a roadside tent to sell bedsheets and pillows, using it as their lodging.
Police have taken the driver, Syed Hussain, and four other occupants of the vehicle into custody. Consequently, he has been charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder due to the unlicensed and high-speed nature of the incident.
