A search for three crew members missing since an attack on the Thai-flagged cargo vessel Mayuree Naree in the Strait of Hormuz has concluded without locating them. The ship, owned by Precious Shipping Pcl, was struck by Iranian projectiles on March 11 while in ballast.
Of the 23 crew members aboard, 20 were rescued by the Omani navy after abandoning the vessel in a lifeboat. The remaining three were thought to be trapped in the engine room, which caught fire after the attack. The vessel later ran aground on an Iranian island, and a search team that boarded it could not find the missing crew.
