Heroic Cop Saves the Day as Gulmohar Tree Crashes in Mysuru

On the morning of October 23, 2025, a tragic incident was averted in Mysuru as a gulmohar tree situated inside Curzon Park II collapsed near the Kote Anjaneya Swamy Temple. Two autorickshaw drivers had a narrow escape as their vehicles were completely damaged in the incident.

However, the quick action of a police head constable, Eshwar, prevented a major disaster. Just minutes before the tree fell, Eshwar instructed a few youths and destitutes who were resting at the spot to vacate the area. This timely warning allowed them to move to safety, avoiding potential casualties.

The autorickshaw drivers, who had been instructed to leave the location, delayed their departure and were fortunate to be outside their vehicles when the tree came crashing down. Recent heavy rain in the region is believed to have caused the tree to collapse, similar to an incident a year ago when a tree in the same park had damaged properties near Hardinge Circle.

While the autorickshaw drivers are yet to approach the police to file a case, the incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of proactive safety measures and vigilance in public spaces, especially during inclement weather conditions.
