A celebratory New Year's Eve outing ended in tragedy for a family in Helmsley, North Yorkshire, when a tractor collided with Ali and Izzy Rogerson. The incident occurred on Bridge Street as they walked on the pavement, leaving Ali trapped under the tractor's wheels and Izzy severely injured after being thrown into railings. Bystanders immediately rushed to assist, providing aid at the deeply distressing scene.
The two women were transported to James Cook Hospital. Izzy suffered a head wound and skull fracture, while her mother, Ali, sustained crush injuries to her leg. Their husband and father, Gerry Rogerson, expressed profound gratitude for the quick and brave actions of those who intervened, acknowledging the immense difficulty they faced due to the graphic nature of the injuries.
