Tragic Truck Collision Claims Young Life on SPR

A somber incident occurred early Saturday morning on Southern Peripheral Road near Gurgaon, resulting in the death of a 22-year-old student. Chirag Sharma, a BA student, and his friend Harsh Sharma were returning home after watching a movie when their Maruti Swift was struck by a truck.
The accident, which took place around 3:30 AM, involved a truck allegedly driven at high speed and negligently while attempting to overtake the car. The impact on the car's left side was so severe that it was left mangled. Both occupants sustained grievous injuries and were transported to Artemis Hospital by passersby.
Harsh Sharma tragically passed away during treatment, while Chirag Sharma is currently battling critical injuries. Police, who arrived at the scene shortly after being alerted, found the damaged vehicles but the injured had already been taken to the hospital. A forensic team inspected the site, and a case has been registered based on Chirag's complaint. The truck driver fled the scene, abandoning the truck.
