A group of four friends from Dombivli, Mumbai, experienced a holiday nightmare when a fire broke out at a Goa nightclub. The incident occurred on December 7, 2025, as the friends were enjoying a performance featuring a belly dancer and a quartet.
The fire reportedly ignited from sparkler fountains used during the show, rapidly spreading through the venue within ten minutes. One of the youths recounted the terrifying escape, describing pushing through dense smoke and darkness to reach the single, small exit. He suffered burns to his wrist, elbow, and ears.
Further details emerged about the club’s inadequate safety measures, including the alleged absence of fire extinguishers and poor lighting. Patrons waiting near the exit instead of evacuating created additional panic and a bottleneck, hindering the escape for many.
