More than 40 firefighters were called to the scene after reports of a fire at a bar. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they were alerted just after 2:40 PM on Sunday. Nine fire appliances were in attendance at the height of the incident.
Images from the location showed that parts of Renfield Street and West Regent Street had been cordoned off. Fire crews were observed gathered outside both the Bistro and Maltman bars. No casualties were reported as a result of the fire. The public was advised to avoid the affected area while operations were underway.
