Massive Oak Tree Crushes Cobb County Home

A homeowner in Cobb County is assessing damage after a massive white oak tree fell onto their residence late Friday night. The homeowner was reportedly watching the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl when a large limb punched through the roof.

Neighbors described the sound of the impact as comparable to a jetliner passing overhead. Fortunately, despite the extensive damage, the home's structural integrity was not compromised, and the family remains in their residence while repairs are underway.

Crews utilized a crane to lift the colossal tree off the house. The Tomahawk Tree Removal Company was scheduled to complete the removal process on Sunday, a task expected to take several hours.
