Tourist Dies After Cobra Bite at Egyptian Resort Show

A vacation in Hurghada, Egypt, turned fatal for a 57-year-old German tourist who was bitten by a cobra during a snake-charming performance. The incident occurred earlier this month at a resort where the man was vacationing with family. During the show, which featured two cobras, one snake allegedly bit the victim in the leg. He exhibited severe poisoning symptoms and required resuscitation before being transported to the hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. Authorities in both Germany and Egypt have initiated investigations into the fatal snakebite. The snake charmer is reportedly not under investigation at this time. Toxicological examination results are pending.
