The incident took place around 10:24 pm in a shed designated for private workers at an under-construction building near Hostel No. 6. A gas cylinder reportedly exploded while the workers were cooking, leading to a fire.
Authorities confirmed that all five injured individuals were in stable condition following the blast. Two minors, aged 9 and 12, were among those hurt. Four of the injured were transported to Kasturba Hospital for further medical attention, while the fifth person was admitted to Rajawadi Hospital. Police and ward staff responded to the scene shortly after the incident.
