Four people tragically lost their lives in an early morning accident on the Lucknow-Sultanpur Highway on Saturday. A tractor-trolley carrying bricks overturned near Gangaganj around 4:45 am after the hitch pin connecting it to the tractor reportedly broke. This caused the vehicle to veer out of control.
The out-of-control vehicle crashed into a highway barricade before overturning. Three men were declared dead at the Gosainganj Community Health Centre, and a fourth died while being transported to a trauma centre. All victims hailed from Barabanki district.
The deceased have been identified as Pitambar Rawat, 35, who was driving the tractor, and employees Sandeep Rawat, 25, Pawan Rawat, 25, and Balram Rawat alias Ram Kishore, 20. They worked at an RBF brick kiln in Achchhakamau village.
The incident has caused immense grief to the families of the victims, many of whom relied entirely on them for financial support. Balram Rawat, 20, was the sole provider for his family of six. Pitambar Rawat, Pawan Rawat, and Sandeep Rawat also leave behind grieving families, including young children and spouses.
