- The victims were traveling to Ramrekha Ghat for a holy dip.

Four people lost their lives in a fatal road accident that took place on the Buxar highway on Sunday morning. The collision occurred near Chanda village, under the Naya Bhojpur police station area. The deceased were identified as SSB jawan Sujit Kumar Pandey, Omkar Pandey, Girija Devi, and Manju Devi.
The group was traveling in a car towards Ramrekha Ghat in Buxar. Their intention was to take a holy dip in the Ganga river on the occasion of Maghi Purnima and to distribute wedding invitations. Unfortunately, dense fog severely reduced visibility on the four-lane highway.
Due to the poor visibility, their car first collided with a truck. Moments later, a second speeding truck struck the car from behind, creating a severe double collision. The impact was so immense that the car was completely mangled, leading to the instantaneous death of all four occupants.
Eyewitnesses reported that despite the thick fog, vehicles were traveling at high speeds. The driver of the car apparently misjudged distances because of the limited visibility. Villagers alerted the police after hearing the crash. Rescuers used heavy machinery to extract the bodies from the wreckage. The bodies were subsequently sent for postmortem examination.
