Four bodies, including those of three children and a young man, were recovered from a pond near Kusua village in Prayagraj on Wednesday morning. The victims, identified as Prince Sonkar (10), Prateek Sonkar (13), Karan Sonkar (19), and Prayanshu (10), all residents of Sallahapur, had left their homes on Tuesday evening.
Their disappearance was reported after they failed to return home. A search was initiated when their clothes were found near the pond. Local swimmers, along with a police team, conducted a thorough search and retrieved the bodies from the water.
Postmortem examinations have been conducted to determine the precise cause of death, with preliminary reports indicating drowning. Police are actively investigating the incident from all possible angles to uncover the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event.
