In a shocking incident that occurred on October 30, two teenage boys, aged 15 and 16, were caught on camera running a red light while riding an illegal dirt bike in Salinas, California. The reckless teens collided with a turning car, causing a fiery explosion that immediately set the bike, the car, and the teen rider on fire.
Footage shows the teen blowing through the red light and smashing straight into the side of the car, with the impact causing a massive blaze. The teen's friend quickly rushed to help smother the growing flames as the teen rolled around the intersection. Remarkably, the 16-year-old rider managed to walk away with only a broken ankle, though he was expected to recover.
The incident has had lasting consequences, however. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the woman driving the black car, whose vehicle was completely destroyed in the crash. Her sister Vanessa Vargas stated that the impact caused the car and all of Brianna's belongings inside to catch fire and burn completely, just a week after she had purchased the car.
While the two teens were cited for traffic violations and released to their parents, the aftermath of this fiery crash continues to unfold, with the community rallying to support the innocent victim whose car was destroyed in the incident.
