The crash took place around 10:07 a.m. on Mannheim Road. According to authorities, the USPS truck, driven by a 48-year-old man, was traveling southbound when it unexpectedly drifted into the northbound lanes, leading to a direct impact with Jensen's vehicle.
The USPS driver reported losing control of the truck. He has since been cited for improper lane usage and is scheduled to appear in court on January 16, 2026. Des Plaines police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
