A promising college visit tragically concluded with a fatal road accident in Sonipat, Haryana. Vanshika, a young woman, lost her life after a pickup vehicle allegedly collided with the scooter carrying her and her elder sister, Diksha, beneath the Kami Road flyover. The incident occurred as the sisters were returning home.
Vanshika had accompanied Diksha to her college for the first time and was reportedly excited about pursuing admission there herself. However, their journey home turned perilous when a speeding pickup vehicle reportedly struck their scooter. The collision caused severe damage to the scooter and serious injuries to both sisters.
Passers-by alerted by the crash transported the injured sisters to the Civil Hospital. Vanshika's condition worsened en route, and she was declared dead. Diksha, in critical condition, was transferred to a specialized hospital in Delhi for ongoing treatment. The driver of the pickup truck was apprehended by locals and handed over to the police, who have since arrested him. Investigations into the circumstances of the accident are underway.
