Deadly Truck Crash Halts Jurupa Valley Traffic

A fatal traffic accident involving two semi-trucks occurred in Jurupa Valley early Monday morning. Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene near Etiwanda Avenue and Inland Avenue around 4:25 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered the driver of one truck deceased from major injuries. The other driver sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
Investigators from the Jurupa Valley Sheriff's Station's Traffic Team are leading the investigation into the cause of the crash. While the investigation is ongoing, authorities have indicated that alcohol and/or drugs are not believed to be contributing factors. Neither the deceased victim nor the injured driver have been identified as of the latest reports. Etiwanda Avenue was closed between Philadelphia Avenue and Hopkins Street for several hours to facilitate the investigation and evidence collection.
