Tragic Wedding Trip Ends in Fatal Crash

A fatal road accident occurred on the Hakathur-Maragodu road on Friday night, claiming the life of 31-year-old Praveen, son of Bidrupane Somanna. The incident happened as Praveen's family from Kattemadu village was traveling to Madikeri to prepare for a wedding scheduled for April 4 and 5.
Near Bakka, the driver lost control of the car, causing it to roll five to six times before falling into a drain. Praveen was ejected from the vehicle and died instantly from his injuries. Local residents Kariya, Ganesh, Vijay, and a student named Adarsh were injured and are being treated at the district hospital.
A case regarding the accident has been filed at the Madikeri rural police station. The deceased, Praveen, was unmarried and is survived by his parents, a brother, and a sister. The wedding preparations are expected to continue despite the tragedy.
