SUV Driver Kills Motorcyclist, Injures Family

A devastating accident occurred late Sunday night in Pune's Samarthnagar area of Kharadi, where a motorcyclist was killed and a woman along with her young son suffered severe injuries. The collision, a head-on impact between a motorcycle and an SUV, happened around 10:30 pm.
Pawan Bharambe, 35, the rider of the motorcycle, was pronounced dead at the scene. His relatives, Priya Tushar Kolhe, 32, and her three-year-old son, Dipraj Tushar Kolhe, sustained serious injuries and are receiving treatment at a private hospital.
The SUV driver, Prasad More, 25, from Wagholi, was apprehended by the police. Authorities reported that More was driving without a valid license. He has been arrested for rash and negligent driving, which led to the fatality. Evidence tampering was also suspected as he allegedly removed the vehicle's number plates post-accident.
More was presented before a city court on Tuesday and has been remanded to police custody until June 5. It remains unclear if he was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
