Tragic Turnpike Crash Claims Two Lives

Two men are dead following a single-vehicle accident that occurred early Saturday morning on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The incident took place near Hempfield Township in Westmoreland County.
State police responded to the scene around 2:30 a.m. Reports indicate that a vehicle with two occupants drove onto an embankment, lost control, and subsequently struck an overpass, causing the car to flip.
Fire and rescue crews worked at the scene, but both occupants were deceased. The Westmoreland County Coroner's Office identified the deceased as Hunter Fronius and Raymond Foster, both from Connellsville.
Autopsy results determined that blunt force injuries were the cause of death for both men, with the manner of death classified as accidental. Authorities also noted that neither of the occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Pennsylvania State Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
