Tragedy struck near Jaam Gate late Friday afternoon when a car, driven recklessly, collided with two scooters. The devastating impact claimed one life and left two individuals in critical condition. Authorities were alerted by bystanders who witnessed the horrific scene.
Emergency services swiftly transported the injured to Mhow civil hospital. Meanwhile, police initiated a pursuit of the offending vehicle. The car was eventually located and tracked, leading to a chase that concluded when the driver lost control near Ashapura petrol pump, causing the vehicle to overturn in a shallow gorge.
Investigations revealed that both the driver, Vishal (27, from Hatod near Indore), and his companion, Rahul, were heavily intoxicated. They were reportedly returning from a picnic when the accident transpired. The deceased has been identified as Shlok, a resident of Subhash Nagar in Indore, whose life was tragically cut short by the driver's negligence.
