Woman Dies, Driver Flees Fatal Limerick Crash

A collision involving three vehicles on the N24 near Grange West, Boher, resulted in a fatality late on Friday night. The incident, which occurred around 11:10 PM, claimed the life of a woman in her 30s, who was the sole occupant of her car.
A man in his 40s, who was driving another vehicle alone, sustained injuries that are not considered life-threatening. He was transported to University Hospital Limerick for treatment.
Authorities are particularly seeking the driver of the third car involved in the crash. This individual reportedly fled the scene and abandoned their vehicle. The woman's body has been moved to the University Hospital Limerick mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
Gardai have issued an appeal for any witnesses or individuals who may possess camera or dash-cam footage from the N24 in the vicinity of Grange West, Boher, between 10:45 PM and 11:30 PM on Friday. The N24 remains closed between R505 and L1132 pending a technical examination by forensic investigators.
