A man lost his life on Sunday afternoon, March 15, following a hit-and-run incident on the busy Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway near Atlas Chowk. The victim was reportedly crossing the road when a white Kia car struck him. The driver involved did not stop to help but instead fled the scene, leaving the vehicle behind.
Traffic personnel discovered the injured man while responding to congestion. He was quickly transported to a local hospital, where medical professionals declared him deceased. The body, which has not yet been identified, was subsequently moved to the government hospital's mortuary in Sector 10.
Police have confiscated the Kia car and initiated a search for the driver. A case has been registered at the Udyog Vihar police station under sections related to rash driving and causing death by negligence as per the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Investigations are actively continuing to trace the individual responsible for the accident.
