The incident took place around 2 p.m. near State Highway 81 and County Road 418. The driver of the FedEx Mercedes-Benz Sprinter sustained critical injuries and was transported for medical attention.
During the emergency response, a firefighter from the Covington Volunteer Fire Department experienced a heat-related medical issue. This individual was airlifted to a hospital in Fort Worth but is now recovering at home, according to the fire department.
