A fatal road accident in Dwarka on February 3 resulted in the death of 23-year-old Sahil Dhaneshra. An autopsy report confirmed his demise was due to severe hemorrhage and cranio-cerebral injury. The post-mortem detailed extensive trauma, including a fractured skull, brain swelling, and significant internal chest injuries consistent with the collision.
The incident occurred near Lal Bahadur Shastri College involving a Scorpio, a Swift Dzire taxi, and Dhaneshra's motorcycle. Preliminary reports indicate the Scorpio, driven by a 17-year-old, struck Dhaneshra's motorcycle before hitting the parked taxi.
The 17-year-old driver, who did not possess a valid license, was apprehended. The Juvenile Justice Board granted him interim bail on February 10, citing his ongoing Class 10 board examinations as the reason for his temporary release.
Dhaneshra's mother expressed distress over the incident and the vehicle's history, noting multiple speeding challans. She recounted the traumatic moments after the crash and expressed hope for a fair investigation despite the teen driver being out on bail.
