A tragic car crash on the Ladhowal bypass has claimed the lives of five young friends. Investigators have cited overspeeding as the primary cause, with evidence including beer bottles found inside the vehicle.
A medical board conducted postmortem examinations, noting catastrophic injuries sustained by all victims. The condition of one 20-year-old victim was particularly severe, with her face unrecognisable, prompting doctors to recommend DNA profiling for positive identification. Other victims also suffered devastating injuries, highlighting the brutality of the accident.
The victims, three from Jagraon and two from Moga, were travelling together when the fatal incident occurred.
