A tragic accident occurred in Dharmapuri district on Friday night, resulting in the death of a 62-year-old farmer. Madhappan of Tirumalvadi village was riding his two-wheeler when a wild boar suddenly crossed the road.
The collision caused Madhappan to suffer a severe head injury, leading to his immediate death at the scene. He had been en route to his farmland after dinner to protect his crops from wild animals.
Locals who witnessed the incident alerted the authorities. Police from the Marandahalli station recovered the body and arranged for a postmortem examination at the Dharmapuri government medical College and Hospital. A case has been registered.
