Double Tragedy: Family Loses Loved Ones in Sea Disaster

On a recent Tuesday, a family embarked on a somber journey from San Francisco's waterfront to scatter the ashes of Maria Boisa into the Pacific Ocean. The outing, intended to bring closure after Maria's 2015 death by suicide, was tragically cut short. While returning to San Francisco, their boat, the Volare, was hit by a powerful wave, causing it to tilt and rapidly take on water.

At least two people died, and two others are missing, presumed to have drowned after falling overboard or becoming trapped in the sinking cabin. This new tragedy struck the Boisa family, who had already endured multiple unexpected deaths, including several of their children. Ralph Boisa, 77, expressed his deep sorrow, stating, 'Half of my siblings are gone.'
