In 2005, Michelle Vanek disappeared while hiking Colorado's Mount of the Holy Cross, a prominent and symbolic peak. Despite extensive search efforts involving hundreds of rescuers and advanced technology, no trace of her was found. The case remained a poignant mystery for 19 years.
In 2024, a new chapter unfolded when Pastor Scott Beebe experienced a compelling dream. In the dream, Vanek requested to be found "by women." Interpreting this as a spiritual calling, Beebe motivated an all-women search and rescue team to undertake the mission.
This dedicated team, including members from the Vail Mountain Rescue Team, embarked on the challenging expedition. Relying on faith, intuition, and a shared sense of purpose, they navigated the rugged terrain. Their determination ultimately led them to find Michelle Vanek, providing closure after nearly two decades.
