Trader's Goa Trip Aborted by Emergency Exit Mishap

A journey to Goa for a Surat-based trader ended before it could begin due to an alleged mishap involving an aircraft's emergency exit. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon at Surat International Airport aboard an IndiGo flight bound for Goa. The passenger, Hitendra Maniya, was seated near the emergency exit when the door was unexpectedly opened moments before the flight's scheduled departure.

Airport officials and security personnel promptly responded, escorting Mr. Maniya off the aircraft. He was subsequently handed over to the Dumas police for further inquiry. Maniya reportedly admitted to opening the door but stated it was an accident while attempting to recline his seat. He claimed he mistook a seat component for a handle. Police are investigating to determine if there was any underlying motive for his actions.
