Sri Lanka Safari Terror: Elephant Tears Van Door Off

A terrifying encounter unfolded in Sri Lanka when a three-ton elephant charged a sightseeing minivan. The aggressive animal rocked the vehicle, lifting two wheels off the ground, and used its trunk to rip off the door. It then reached inside, seemingly seeking fruit. Two members of a Russian tourist family managed to escape the other side of the Suzuki minivan, fearing for their lives.

The elephant eventually retreated as another tourist vehicle approached, sounding its horn, and a warning shot was reportedly fired. Despite significant damage to the rented vehicle, the tourists were able to drive away. One shaken tourist described the event as a moment where they 'almost lost our lives,' adding a new phobia to her collection.
