On November 3rd, 2025, a 70-year-old pillion rider tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident in Vikhroli, Mumbai. The victim, Salim Khan, was riding with his 40-year-old relative Jameer Khan when an unknown biker struck their two-wheeler.
According to the police, Jameer was riding his bike to drop off Salim when the accident occurred. The unknown biker, while attempting to overtake Jameer's vehicle, rammed into them. The impact caused Salim to be thrown several feet away, while Jameer also fell off the bike. Both men were rushed to Rajawadi hospital, where Salim was declared dead.
Authorities have since arrested the accused rider, Arvind Bhimsatar, and charged him with causing death due to negligence under the Motor Vehicle Act. An eyewitness provided the registration number of Bhimsatar's bike, leading to his apprehension.
The tragic incident has left Salim's family and the local community in Vikhroli grieving. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
