The East Bay experienced a series of six earthquakes on Friday evening, with the seismic activity centered near San Ramon, according to the United States Geological Survey. The tremors began around 7:41 pm, with the strongest quake measuring a magnitude of 4.0.
Following the initial seismic events, five additional earthquakes struck the area, including two with a magnitude of 3.8, one of 3.1, and a 2.9. Residents in San Ramon, Dublin, Danville, and surrounding communities reported feeling the shaking, and the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) system experienced residual delays.
