Following the initial seismic events, five additional earthquakes struck the area, including two with a magnitude of 3.8, one of 3.1, and a 2.9. Residents in San Ramon, Dublin, Danville, and surrounding communities reported feeling the shaking, and the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) system experienced residual delays.
Authorities reported no significant damage or injuries resulting from the earthquakes. Experts advise residents to practice earthquake safety, including dropping to the ground, taking cover, and holding on during tremors, and to remain alert for aftershocks.
