Firefighters from the Los Angeles Fire Department are currently engaged in a significant battle against a blaze in Eagle Rock. The fire initially ignited on the embankment of the northbound 2 Freeway. Crews were dispatched to combat approximately one acre of burning brush that was reportedly moving uphill toward Palmer Drive, posing a threat to nearby homes.
By mid-afternoon, the situation intensified dramatically as a nearby residence became fully engulfed in flames. Aerial footage captured the extent of the fire, showing the house completely consumed. Firefighting teams are implementing a dual strategy, simultaneously working to defend structures from the encroaching flames and suppress the brush fire.
