A terrifying incident occurred late last Thursday when an e-bike battery exploded in the Troutdale, Oregon home of Kari Ann Peniche, a personality known from "Celebrity Rehab." The battery, located near the door and not plugged in, began smoking, prompting Peniche to film it.
The smoking battery then violently exploded, engulfing the five-bedroom house in flames. Fortunately, Peniche, her son, daughter, boyfriend, and their caretaker along with his wife managed to escape the inferno unharmed. The family's cat and three dogs were also safely rescued.
Peniche described the loss as devastating, with the entire home charred and her personal belongings, including artwork, pageant gowns, and copies of magazines she appeared in, completely lost. The family is currently staying with relatives, prioritizing their well-being over the material possessions destroyed in the fire.
