A 28-year-old social media influencer, Hiren Buha, was arrested by Utran police for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol. The incident occurred late Thursday night on Dukhiya Na Darbar Road when Buha's SUV collided with two motorcycles, dragging one of them for several meters. Two individuals sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities discovered a liquor bottle inside Buha's SUV, registered in his hometown of Junagadh. His blood sample was sent for testing to confirm intoxication. Buha's social media account, followed by approximately 8 lakh people, reportedly showcases numerous reels that appear to promote alcohol consumption, as well as gambling and tobacco. Some posts even depicted him drinking.
Buha was charged under the Motor Vehicles Act and the Prohibition Act. The SUV involved in the accident was seized by the police.
